I came across a website called 「廃墟デフレスパイラル」 (haikyo defure supairaru, or “Ruins, Deflation Spiral”), which features tons of intriguing, interesting, and beautiful pictures of abandoned buildings and other sites of urban decay and the like across Japan.

NASA’s Cassini spacecraft is now a nearly a year into its extended mission, called Cassini Equinox (after its initial 4-year mission ended in June, 2008).
